先日、とうとう35歳になりました！
いまさらトシを隠してもしょーがないので。
堂々と胸を張っていきましょう！

スーパー主婦YASUKOさんとご主人から、生クリームたっぷりのフワフワケーキをいただきました。甘すぎなくて、美味しかったー！ありがとうございました！

One of my good friends, Yasuko, and her husband bought me a birthday cake!
This is one of the best parts of having a birthday!
The cake with strawberries and fluffy whipped cream was perfectly sweet!
Not too sweet, but delicious!

そして、別の重大ニュース！
なんと！誕生日の前夜、ダーリンにプロポーズされました！
色々あって、こういうのは、まだまだ先だと思ってたので、思いがけずで嬉しかった！

ダーリンが“最高の女性”と崇める大、大、大好きなおばあちゃんが、おじいさんにプロポーズされたときに貰ったというダイヤの指輪をいただきました。
ダーリンが、指輪をジュエリーショップにもって行き、クリーニング・ポリッシュしてもらったんだって。
60年以上たってるのに、まるで新品のような輝き。
さすが、“ダイヤモンドは永遠の輝き”というだけあるわー

数ヶ月前に、ダーリンのママさんに指輪を送ってもらい、ショップに持っていったり、準備していてくれたなんて、ぜんぜん気づかなかった。

ダンのママさん、大切な指輪を私に譲ってくださって、ありがとうございます。
そして天国にいる、ダンのおばあちゃん、ダンのことも指輪も、大事にしますので見守ってください。
ダンの婚約者として、また指輪にふさわしい女性になれるよう努力します！

The ring is so beautiful, shiny and sparkling .
It looks like brand new, even after 60 years.
De Beers is right. Their advertisement says "A diamond is forever."

He told me that his mother sent the ring to him a couple months ago.
Then he brought the ring to a jewelry store to have it cleaned and polished.
I never suspected he was planning this.

I would like to say thank you to my darling's mother, mama-san, because she allowed me to have and wear the ring. This ring must have been so important and precious for her too.
