マトリョーシカ Matryoshka Doll

9月は、姪っ子（モモカ）と甥っ子（ケイスケ）の誕生日です。プレゼントは何がいいかなー、と頭を悩ませております。

私の父タケオは、こーんなナイスなプレゼントをすでに準備中。
孫達のビックリする表情が見たくて、中から次々に出てくるロシアの人形、無地白木のマトリョーシカを購入し、それに絵を描いたんだって。
後ろには山の絵がはいってます。　 タケじい作の、世界にたったひとつのマトリョーシカだじょー 　

中からポコポコと同じような小さなマトリョーシカが出てくるさまから子孫繁栄、子宝祈願がこめられているという話もあったり、一番小さなマトリョーシカに、願いをこめて息を吹き込んで閉じこめたら、願いが叶うという言い伝えもあるんだって。

一番小さい人形に、何か小さなプレゼントを入れておくってのも、さらにサプライズがあっていいかもね。

The birthdays of my niece Momoka and my nephew Keisuke are coming up in September.
I am troubled and do not know what to do about their birthday presents.

My father Takeo already got an idea and he's ready for it.
He found and bought a set of plain Russian Matryoshka dolls online, then he colored them and designed his own Matryoshka doll.

He wants to see the surprise and laughter on his grandchildren's face as they pull the dolls apart and see that other dolls are inside.
He added a design of mountains on the doll's back.
This is the "Take-ji "Special Edition Hand-Painted Matryoshka!

Since the biggest doll contains numerous smaller ones, the Matryoshka dall is considered as a symbol of fertility.
Also they are rumored to have magic spells.
They say if you blow into the smallest doll with a wish and seal it, the wish will come true....
Won't it be nice to hide a tiny gift in the smallest doll?
Another surprise waits for the kids!
